Shoalhaven Regional Art Gallery Nature Re balancing Exhibition March 13 - April 10 2021

An exhibition of works by Claire Cavanna and Caroline McIntyre inspired by the resilience of nature from recent catastrophic events, the works address the emergence of growth through adapting to change. The connection between the artworks is depicted using contrasting techniques. Where Caroline presents her concept via a hard-edged composition with layers of transparent colours; Claire creates organic shapes highlighted with strategic lines to represent her subject. Both use a muted colour palette that reflects the hues indigenous to the Australian landscape. Their concern for the environment as individuals creates a synergy within their images expressing hope for the future.
