Showcase 2019

This year was all about embracing Irish Aran knitwear — Showcase is an annual trade show with over 450 exhibitors spanning the categories of Fashion, Home and Gift, and Jewellery. Ireland's most talented makers and designers take part in the show to sell and exhibit their work to both domestic and international buyers. Our challenge this year was to embrace Aran and Irishness, while still keeping the overall look and feel cool and contemporary. We created an entire Aran knit body suit to be worn by our model. In this way we were showcasing Aran in an unexpected way, while also providing an effective backdrop for the products. My specific role in this project was as designer. My responsibilities as a designer on this project involved the creation and design of many of the print and digital outputs including invites, evites, web, typographic layouts and colour treatments. A series of still images and slow motion videos were also created for this project, for which I was on shoot to assist the Art Director, Photographer and Director of Photography.
