Shrouds

The "Shrouds" project is a photographic series looking at social and cultural treatment of our closest non-human companions.
As the name suggests these images depict the shrouds of the individual animal. The individuals are often rescued or abandoned, ending their lives in caring but often underfunded shelters and rescue centres.
The shrouds in this series serve as comfort blankets for these lonely and often forgotten companions. The ecletic nature of their shrouds encompasses the eclectic nature of their former companions and a form of memento mori.
