This piece is called Simply Just. The concept I was looking at through my practice was the existing taboo in my Nigerian culture. I as the artist felt very uncomfortable as I was going against my cultural norms and using art as a way of expression to go against the expectations of a Nigerian female. My work grew in the explicitly , over time I started to get more comfortable which allowed me to apply depth in my work. ‘SIMPLY JUST’ was chosen as the title of the piece as the piece was very clear and provoking... it speaks for itself.
