SIP (Self Initiated Project)

Progressing on my year 3 SIP (Self Initiated Project), I journeyed to Japan in relation to my academic thesis proposal and dissertation. From there, I wanted to continue to explore the packaging design industry from last year’s SIP project and focused on the Japanese cosmetics industry and consumer target audience. The objective was to create a packaging design for an existing cosmetic product. Furthermore, focusing on a high-end finishing of both technical awareness and experimental print finishing and packaging design My outcome will inaugurate the primary research of extant Japanese packaging, design identities, open theories, and design trends. These decisive factors will exercise my theories and produce a series of visually pleasing experimental work and contents for the container.
