SIXPAD is a training gear product that stimulates muscles. The various SIXPAD products are aimed at both professional and amateur athletes as a product that will aid in achieving various fitness goals.
We were approached by the UK based agency that represents the Japanese based company to produce a TV commercial for a UK audience. Their brief included examples of Japanese speaking athletes that they had produced documentary style TV commercials for the Japanese market to give us a steer on the style and messaging that they required us to emulate.
We created three commercials for Sixpad to be shown on European TV channels. One was aired during the champions league final on UK TV stations and has been seen by millions of people. We worked with celebrity athletes Alex Lozowski and Dina Asher-Smith.
Our priority was then to ensure that we had a script that would hit the mark on several key messages. Through a number of script iterations we were able to achieve a naturally flowing documentary style dialogue from Alex Lozowski that spoke of his journey as a sportsperson, the challenges he faces, what he dreams of achieving in the game of rugby, and interlacing naturally into this script how the product will help him achieve these goals.
Once we had script sign off from our client, we produced a detailed shot list and brought together a talented and hard-working crew to ensure that no stone was left unturned in shooting the whole commercial within a limited 6-hour window. Everything from as large as renting a football stadium to choosing the colour of the laces that Alex Lozowski wore in the shoot went into delivering a successful TV commercial for our client.
