SkatePal is an organization that supports children in the West Bank through skateboarding.
For 2 months I helped run skate lessons at 2 diferent schools , one in Jayyous and one in Asira . Me and the volunteers would run the lessons 5 days a week. These lessons were an opportunity for the kids to pick up a new sport, learn some english, interact with foreigners and most importantly have fun.
It was very eye opening to see the reality of a place suffering from occupation.
I documented my time with my video camera and my 35mm film camera.
Below you can see a zine I created from my 35mm as well as a short documentary of my time out in the West Bank.
