SLiNK magazine is a self published publication that I launched in 2011. SLiNK began life as an online magazine aimed at women size 14+. As the discussion around plus size fashion has grown, SLiNK magazine has gone from a digital only publication to a print plus size fashion magazine distributed globally.
SLiNK magazine requires me to manage freelancers, direct editorial content and liaise with brands and other journalists.
SLiNK receives a lot of press attention and I often work with other media outlets to both promote upcoming SLiNK features and stories and to help with comment and opinion on related stories, such as plus size fashion, body image and obesity. Through this I have done quotes for national and international newspapers, both print and online and contributed to radio and television broadcasts, including: BBC Radio, BBC World News, ITV Daybreak, ITV Lorraine, BBC London News, Channel 5 News and many more.
SLiNK has also allowed me the opportunities to blog for both The Huffington Post and The Guardian.
