Sour Joes

Sour Joes is a monthly Zine created by a group of film students based in Brisbane, Australia. A website was created for the zine to help family and friends access the material. The website was built to be a digital carrier for the zine, highlighting each issue’s fleeting relevancy through an animated gallery effect and images on hover. The zine takes on a gathered aesthetic, with conflicting elements causing a playful tension. Its colour palette is not limited to a set which allows each story to be realised through its individual colour palette.
