Space Explorer is a pioneering multimedia public art platform, creating moments of wonder and discovery in everyday surroundings, allowing us to open up to change perspective and challenge perception.

We launched Space Explorer 1.0 in Hackney in summer 2016 transforming 15 untapped spaces into a multimedia outdoor gallery that lead viewers on an outdoor tour with a difference.
The Space Explorer App guided viewers around our route allowing them discover the artworks, It puts control back into the viewers hands with interactive maps and GPS triggered multimedia content, including the bespoke soundscape that accompanies each image.
We Kicked off Space Explorer with ‘Another Space & Time’ a photographic and audio project by Space Explorer Co-Founder Robin Mellor that poses the question of the 'meaning of life' to the people of the North American Deserts We brought the journey through the desert to life by taking viewers on a guided tour of Hackney with a difference, We transposed the lives of the outsider desert communities onto the streets of hackney with viewers physically mirroring the journey through the desert with a trip of their own, discovering for themselves the characters and stories along the way, creating genuine moments discovery and wonder that helped to regain a sense of exploration in everyday surroundings.
We also created an accompanying magazine holding an indepth story of exhibition and information of how to participate.
The project was part Kickstarter funded with partners including Lonely Planet, VSCO and Hackney Council, it was featured as Wired Magazine App of the Month with press coverage including The Future Laboratory, Nowness, London Live and The Independent
