'Sparking Change' Women in Leadership Conference at the Baytree Centre, Brixton

The Baytree Centre is a social inclusion project for women and girls based in the heart of Brixton. We aim to create supportive pathways for inner-city women and girls to achieve social inclusion through education, training, and social and personal development. As part of our continued efforts to support, encourage and educate our participants we decided to introduce a new leadership conference to further benefit the women and girls at Baytree and in our wider community. For this event, we brought together female speakers from various professions to talk about their experiences with success, failure, and leadership both professionally and personally. We hosted a panel and conducted various workshops, in order to both inspire and elevate our female participants. I was the Event Coordinator for the conference, securing speakers and workshop leaders, sponsorship, as well as managing finances and marketing.
