Spring awakening 2020

I worked on an actor musician musical of Spring Awakening from Jan - March 2020, as a costume maker, wardrobe assistant and dresser. The design of the show was a mix of 1890's traditional garments with punk rock 80's styling. I made a velvet working mans style jacket with two flap pockets and a jetted pocket at the breast. It included traditional influenced frogging with a hook and bar stand fastening. Matching breeches were made to create a full suit. This was worn by the main character of Melchior Gabor. I also altered most of the costumes to allow for extra movement, along with making period chemises, slips, bloomers and long johns. When working behind the scenes on the production I helped with hair and makeup for the actors, organised and repaired costumes and did quick changes for the show.
