Identity Creation

A brand design concept for a web site for a high-end gentlemen’s shop based in St James’s London specializing in grooming accessories and products.
When designing their logo, I drew inspiration from vintage iconography and the elegance of men’s attire. I used grey for formality and conservativeness, black for strength and authority and green as a contrasting period colour.
The overall impression is one of masculinity, combined with the sophistication of the uneven, textured font. I enjoyed the cleverness of joining the straight razor and the letter -S- to create a male figure which provides focus to the logo.
