Stir & Sip Social Enterprise

  • Joel P Buckley
This was a self initiated project.

I spent some time last summer working at a drop in centre, giving out cups of tea and meals to some of London's homeless community.

At the same time, less than 50 yards away was a trendy cafe selling loose
leaf tea for £2 per cup.

I set up Stir and Sip to sell 'loose leaf and fancy tea' to London hipsters to directly fund the tea at the drop in. Tea for tea.

To get a point of difference I employed the help of a tea blender to help us create an East End Blend, this gave us reason to do special tea tasting events. I also packaged the tea into tobacco tins and racked test tubes, making them look significantly different for retail.

Stir and Sip is now being run as a going concern in Yorkshire after i started at the School of Communication Arts.

All the filming, branding and copywriting is my own.
