Since Lisa is the brains and fantastic design eye behind Storeen we encouraged her to come forward as inspiration for the branding. We took inspiration from Lisa’s personal style and were inspired by her connection to both her Irish roots and her time in London and the east end design districts.
While the aim was to create a bold and recognisable brand identity, we were conscious that visually this needed to blend seamlessly with the multitude of styles, patterns and colours in the product range. We used a stylish, modern and simple sans serif font to create the Storeen logo, adding character by using a playful tilt to the e’s – a design feature that we have followed through in the brand typography.
We then went on to create a brand icon inspired by the bold, stand out pieces featured on the site. The icon is designed to represent a bird’s eye view of a room in a house, with the pieces within it bursting out of the lines/box. Storeen is the place to find that ‘forever piece’ that really makes a statement.
The logo and icon are shown in white throughout the branding allowing them to be overlayed onto bold images and to be used with the bright, brave colour clash palette.
