Sustainable Challenge 2020: Gender Perspective in Fashion

  • Chloe Cooper

There's no sustainable fashion without a gender perspective. Can Fashion, as a key practise in the construction of socialcultural patterns: pay in favour of the visibility of a multitude of realities and become a real tool for socialetal and cultural changes? The joint initiative between MODA-FAD, Design Manchester & British Council selected 40 design based students (20 uk & 20 Spain) and spilt into different categories (Fashion Design, Casting etc) in order to develop fashion concepts & proposals that go beyond feminising of men/masculising of women, but to instead, reach to other perspectives outside of the normative.
