A Shocking 1/3 of children will leave primary school unable to swim. Many parents believe it is the schools responsibility for their child's learning and fail to realise that swimming is a life skill. It is also perceived that children like water, however the majority of children aged 5-7 have a fear of entering a swimming pool.
The concept plays on the imagination aspect of swimming, which is often used when teaching. I designed a series of interactive advertisements which display some of the many things that children can pretend to be whilst in the water.
A Series of posters which represent the 'imaginations' which children use when they learn to swim. Children touch the screen to select their desired swimagination and a dot-to-dot appears. Join the dots and admire the finished image and receive a code to take to your local swimming pool.
The promotional pack comes with a bag, hat, goggle, a5 booklet and a piece of card and a card for 10 free swims. The booklet contains small pieces of information, such as why it is important for children to learn to swim, whilst also giving advice on teaching their child to swim themselves, using these imaginations and pretend play.
