Synecular

I created this synecular style out of the blue, as I wanted something freer and more colourful. The "paint blobs" that make the basic elements of these paintings are more than just molecules of paint, I feel them as if they were carrying emotions and vibrating with energy, so I fused "synergy" and "molecular" into "synecular" to have a better word to describe them. It is as if you took one's body with all its energies and emotions, and you turned it inside out and look at everything with what was inside.
The second phase differed from the original superflat flavour that you can find at the end by adding shadows and highlights, as well as stronger colours, non-synecular elements and varied elements in the background. The first phase was about emotions and the inner world in which they dwell, and the following pieces include a wider and more complex narrative. The first of them (Heisenberg, below) mixes together concerns about the ability to clearly speak out one's heart, the integrity towards one's feelings and some not-so-unrelated mind wanderings about quantum physics - more specifically the uncertainty principle of Werner Heisenberg - all of this amidst a seemingly indifferent rain of golden neutrinos. The use of shiny bronze and golden materials invites the viewer to embrace a moving vantage point.

Commissioned portrait of the father of psychology, mind-exploring Schlomo bro. The cigar's pattern goes from hearts to skulls, symbolizing his Eros and Thanatos thing with death drive / life drive, the broken glasses stand for the imperfection of his views, and the 3 eyes on the tie are the Id, ego and super-ego. The masks are hopefully easy to get.
