Take Africa is a lifestyle documentary about everyday Africa. It follows different Africans from different classes working, living and socialising in Africa’s megacities. Take Africa is an African media initiative to providing unbiased media.
It observes a hip and highlife witnessing scenes of students on a university campus bantering, daytime and nighttime skyscraper views, luxury shopping malls to everyday market halls, buzzing restaurants to undiscovered niche dinners, varied public transportation, treasured museums, get away beaches, high power and the rich kids neighbourhoods, a date for two at the national parks, snow to sun, mountains, wineries, aquarium, historic villages, the preparation and performances at a music festival, top rated hotels to local b ‘n’ b, corporate life, culture and lunch breaks and people watching to life filled traffic jams.
The concept is to take a glimpse of life from a realistic view of the major cities in Africa, i.e. interviewing and following a Fashion Blogger at her office who used Instagram to make her line successful and well known international brand OR following a working class individual get ready for work, capturing their morning rituals, we get a tour into their typical day and moments they share with friends in the evenings.
