Tanzania Branding - Identity Design Project

This rebranding project aims to promote Tanzania towards backpackers and adventure enthusiasts. To encourage this, the brand shows off the wide variety of activities available to do in Tanzania some of which are not traditionally associated with the country like surfing of skydiving.

Posters

These were created for promoting the brand both online and out in public. The posters themselves used in bus shelters, billboards and walls and the photography with the elements of the posters exploding out online on social media.
Each poster draws its colour from an aspect of Tanzania including the desert, Mount Kilimanjaro, the coast, the Maasai tribes red robes and the forest. The illustrations are based on the wide variety of different activities available to travellers.

Charms

The charms helped form the brands focus on promoting the wide variety of activities available in Tanzania. Each would be given out for participating in an activity and travellers would form collections as they journeyed around the country.
The idea for the charms came from my research into backpackers I found they would seek challenges and were also much more likely to do an activity if they had heard about it through word of mouth. The charms are designed to help to initiante conversations in hostels, bars and other social areas as backpackers comare stories and experiences.

Website

The website allows prospective tourists to learn more about the country and see what it has to offer. Current travellers can log in and track their collection of charms and compare with all the other people who've visited Tanzania.

Social Media Animation

This animation is designed to promote the brand across social media presenting the exciting energetic nature of the country. The music used is traditional African drumming found throughout Tanzania.
