TAQA Looking Out For Each Other

  • Richard Chisholm
The ‘Looking Out For Each Other’ training, and supporting communications, were a sub-set of the main Intelligent Safety campaign. These training events focussed on the importance of safety conversations and aimed to help staff become more at ease with starting, and having, what could be potentially difficult conversations. Actors were used to simulate various scenarios at different 'conversation stations', some acting out full on confrontations. The brain was used to depict a group of usual suspects who could be responsible for killing conversations. This approach was used to allow the use of a recognisable references (the film of the same name) and to avoid the issue of identifying types of people rather embodying the bad behaviour in the characters.
