Tate Modern Sneaker and Hip Hop Exhibition

  • Callum Wynn

This project brief was to create an exhibition for Tate that links how the sneaker industry has affected the hip-hop industry and vice versa. starting with run DMC and how they got their first sneakers to the modern day hip-hop artists that have created their own sneaker empire such as Kanye West and Pharell Williams. I created virtual reality posters that would work through the Tate app on a mobile device, using the camera as a viewing point and as the camera focuses on a specific poster it starts the motion piece and displays facts about why and how the two industries have collided with that specific sneaker.
