Cycling jersey, cap and socks, prototype design for Team Yacht Club, a cycling team based in Texas, USA. The brief was to create an identity for the team that was bold, playful and fun. The end product was a design that emphasised the contradictory nature of the team name; a cycling club that was based in a landlocked state, with members that had rarely set foot on a yacht. The design features; abstract depictions of yacht sails, a wavey blue sea, a bold slogan that is interspersed throughout the design, and a grainy texture that is inspired by retro cycling jerseys and football tops.
