Tethered

  • Cecy Park

'Tethered' performed 22-23 March 2022 at Etcetera Theatre in Camden, London. The play is about a lesbian relationship heavily affected by trauma. The metaphor of rope 'tethering' the partners together, as well as to various people whom they have encountered throughout their life journeys, such as family, friends, religious mentors and former romantic interests, is strongly visualised through red rope hanging as a backdrop. The structure of the rope is designed to frame the two main characters as they sit at the table in a coffee shop, the main space of events. I designed the poster to resemble half of the stage, reflecting the production design as each main character occupies one half of the stage.
