The Beauty of Waking Up

Photographs of @sophiaalo "What is it like to be a woman today?" where I photograph women getting ready in the morning, exploring the reality of getting ready and capturing raw moments. Images showcase the harmony between fashion and documentary genres. The images are subtle and full of pathos while also being raw and unapologetic. My work explores themes of female gaze and identity, as well as exploring how, as a photographer, I could give more power to the model. The work explores different ways of collaboration between th model and myself.
