The Berlin Wall, 1961-1989

Over the last century Berlin has seen more changes than most cities. One of these changes, the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall, was not all that long a go.
To celebrate 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, we worked on a short animation looking at one slice of the wall through time, from concrete blocks and barbed wire, the Stasi and 80’s new wave, through to the modern metropolis the city is today.

Direction + Design by Sam Peet, Animation by Michael Towers, Ishmail Ali + Luke Marsh, Creative Direction by Giles Dill, Production by Eve Somerville, Music by Yukka
