The Board Games Club

Recently, I had the opportunity to design the interior of the tabletop games club "The Board Game". The hardest thing was to reinvent the board logo. The name was quite common and didn't stand out. As the owners were fans of dark climates and the movie "Pan's Labyrinth", we focused on the dark forest theme. My goal was to throw away any dice and meeples. These are very hackneyed themes and I didn't want to duplicate my previous projects and ideas again. The board remained, which served as the substrate from which the forest grows, creating the whole story like unfolded elements in pop books.

The logo is made in a badge / sticker style and is quite detailed. Personally, I do not like such elaborate forms, but they do a great job of decorating clubs. However, I had to ensure readability in various color variants.
The club's walls are decorated with illustrations on the theme of board games and the previously mentioned dark forest. When combined, the whole create one coherent story of the adventures of a pair of meeples.
We came up with the idea of decorating the walls with elements referring to the logo. Trees, the moon, and ominous clouds appeared on the walls. The gray vines coming out from behind the wardrobe came out insanely.
