The book cover project

The book's final cover, The Spy Who Comes In from the Cold, sets the tone of the whole work implied by this design. I felt representing the story of spy fiction through imagery is necessary for a lift of sense of the theme and clique of the genre I wanted to keep consistent in my illustrations. My initial version of the cover detailed the image in bolder stylisation, striving for the moment of the story in the 1960s, the context in which the book settled on giving for the cover.
