"The Box" multi award-winning animated short film

The Box, the animated story of one of the millions of war children, is a graduation film of Merve Cirisoglu, who is the director, writer, producer, animator, story artist and character designer of the project from University of the Arts London, MA Animation. It got screened on over 252 international film festivals in 52 different countries and won 45 awards including "Best Animation" and "Best International Film" worldwide. It's based on the happy life of a kid which alters instantly with the sudden war and pushes him in a state of struggle. The war changes not only lives, but also the role of his box; first as a carefully built toy house, then as a place to take shelter in a refugee camp with full of dangers and finally as a boat that sails for a journey towards hope. The Box is the animated story of one of the millions of war children. The children's book of the story was published and distributed in Turkey by Ucan At Publishing House.
