The Ceramicists Role In Space Travel

A body of work created during my graduate year at the Royal College of Art. The project was inspired by my own research paper, The Role of the Ceramicist in Space Travel. The text explored points in the history of ceramics and how they influenced the ceramic materials used within the space industry. I was honoured to gain a distinction grade for this paper, and the Sculpture project which followed also received The Charlotte Fraiser Prize for glaze chemistry research.
