THE CONTENT-ED

  • Mairead O'shea
Mairead’s Final Major project focused on the senses and experiences we connect with through physical products. Mairead saw an opportunity where inspiration, appreciation and enjoyment were all becoming a feeling of nostalgia in particular towards publication. Having developed a brand THE CONTENT-ED that focused on the pleasure of handling physical publications on a renting basis per month, the brand is designed under a strong ethos of brand values.

Appreciation driving the brand forward showcased the strong concept research produced to evaluate how the brand values have been curated. The website developed shows a digital platform, ‘keeping print alive’ being the purpose behind the brand.

The Art Director Mairead Grace O’Shea takes the time to pick the best of independent publications, where the brands collaborative experience is then pursued. The meaningful experience produced ‘when fingers touched paper, eyes were drawn to illustrations …and YES strangely missing the smell of printed publications.’ Enlightening the consumer in anticipation of these exact senses, which THE CONTENT-ED consider being a Timeless factor in purchasing publications.

Mairead’s advance outlook on still being relevant keeps the brands focus on emerging ideas. Having established a clear service where convenience for the consumer is crucial in THE CONTENT-ED process of collecting and returning publications. Mairead’ concept has driven this brand in establishing clear guidelines, and highlighting the strengths she indicates through the products produced to a high standard.
