A for Allure
Allure// the quality of being powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating.

BBT// is the lowest body temperature attained during rest. In practice it is measured immediately after awaking before any physical activity. In women, BBT can be used to predict ovulation being this method used since 1930s.

C for Clitoris
“In 1969, we put a man on the moon. In 1982, we invented the internet. In 1998, we discovered the full anatomy of the clitoris”. Helen O/Connell is the scientist behind the study asserting that the clitoris extends behind the vaginal wall. Don’t ask Google. In https://projects.huffingtonpost.com/cliteracy
D for Dame
“Dame Products was founded by smart women with the purpose of making phenomenal sex toys”. Their mission is to “heighten intimacy, design well-engineered sex toys, and openly empower the sexual experiences of womankind”.

E for Erotic Blueprint
We’re all wired differently when it comes to sexuality and libido. Although love and intimacy may grow stronger in long term relationships, one of the most common struggles amongst couples is the gradual fading of sexual arousal.
What if we could define 5 kinds of eroticism that helps us better understand our partner and have a more pleasurable and intimate sexual life? There are 5 kinds of Erotic blueprints: Energetic, Sensual, Sexual, Kinky, Shapeshifter.

F for Foreplay
Foreplay// any kind of activity that leads up to but doesn’t include full intercourse.

G for G spot
Recent studies have been questioning the existence or not of a G spot. Although there’s still not a conclusive study about female orgasms, the theory that comes as more inclusive is that, when aroused, some women can detect a G spot that is connected to the clitoris, leading this stimulation to the female orgasm. Meaning, that in reality it all comes to clitoris stimulation.
Conclusion// Self pleasure, self discovery and communication among partners are key when it comes to nurturing and intimate relationships.
H for Hormones
From PMS to PMDD, hormones are here to be taken serious. PMS or, in severe cases PMDD, may affect an average of 10 days each menstrual cycle. That makes an estimate of 4 months each year that with PMDD can go from:
- Anxiety and irritability, - Depression or feeling of hopelessness, - Decreased interest in usual activities, - Fatigue, - Difficulty concentrating, - Sleep problems, - Cramps and bloating, - Headaches, - Joint or muscle pain, - Hot flashes - ...
PMS// Premenstrual Syndrome PMDD// Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder

I for Intimacy
Intimacy// the process of unmasking, feeling naked, in order to be vulnerable in a trusting, loving, secure relationship.

J for Jade egg
Jade egg or yoni egg are names used to describe a semiprecious stone carved into egg shapes and polished to a glossy shine. This practice invites women to connect deeply with their own sacred space, through intention and attention. Taking time for ourselves and creating a sacred awareness of our inner world is deeply nourishing and pleasurable.
Spirituality apart, holding or “wearing” the stone in our yoni gently strengths and tightens a woman’s pelvic floor and vagina, giving internal balance, stimulating pressure points and enhancing the muscles sensitivity. In other words, it decreases incontinence, retones post-childbirth and increases orgasms.

K for Kegel exercises
Kegel exercises, also known as pelvic floor muscles exercises, have the same benefits as inserting a jade egg. Some might say you don’t need a jade egg, others say the weight of a jade egg has more benefits. Take it or live it, don’t forget to do your Kegel’s daily for muscle toning and increased sensation on your yoni. The name Kegel comes from Arnold Kegel, the gynecologist that invented the perineometer, an instrument that measures the strength of voluntary contractions of the pelvic floor muscles.
L for Love
Love// the universal language that makes us human.

M for Masters
William Masters and Virginia Johnson developed in the late 1950s the first studies to understand human sexual response, dysfunction and disorders. They are responsible for the four stage model of sexual response (also known as the human sexual response cycle).

N for Nipples
Close ups.

O for Onna (Orgasms)
Events and people cross our path in many different ways, we only need to keep an eye open. Sometimes I think the meaning of making this alphabet was to find Onna.
At first sight, Onna may look only like a gemstone sex toy shop but it’s much more than that. If you follow them on IG or subscribe to their newsletter, Pleasure Mondays, you’ll find that Onna is about reconnecting with your inner female sensuality, sexuality, finding and celebrating pleasure in simple daily habits.
It’s about nurturing relationships starting from the most import of all: the one we have with ourselves. As they state on their website, “we are on a mission to nourish women, one Orgasm at a time - connecting heart, body and mind”.
P for Pleasure
Pleasure. Nourishment. Nurturing.

Q for Qui dormit, non peccat
(One who sleeps does not sin). Well. Technically. But in dreams... anything is possible.

R for Respect
In all sources, for all individuals. In all relationships, for all conventional and unconventional ways of living. Respect.

S for Self-care / Self-love / Self-pleasure
Self-care// refers to actions and attitudes which contribute to the maintenance of well-being and personal health and promote human development. Self-care (and self-knowledge) reduces the negative effects of stress: A small amount of stress can serve a purpose, but after a while, it just breaks down your mind and body. Taking care of yourself means keeping your stress from taking over so you can function at full capacity. Our bodies are complex machines, beautifully made but, they can collapse when not handled with care. Here are a few self-care ideas:
- Simplify your schedule. Ask yourself what activities and relationships truly add a value to your life. Prioritise quality time over quantity.
- Don’t be hard on yourself. Make mistakes. Each one is on an individual journey, learn with each mistake and enjoy the ride.
- Take life with lightness, have sense of humor and learn how to laugh at yourself.- Write your thoughts in a journal and create things with your hands. You don’t need to be a craftsman but this will help you to disconnect.
- Learn to let go. Self care is also not arguing with people who are committed to misunderstanding you.
- Be nice but don’t try to please everyone, that’s unattainable and can only lead to frustration.
- Pleasure yourself. Nourish your body and soul. Have a list of small things that make you happy and treat yourself. A nice meal, a bath, a fresh lemonade on a warm day, a glass of wine, buy flowers, be a tourist in your own city, play music and make silly moves, sing in the shower, this list is endless.
- Create a gratitude list. Appreciate what you have and see the positive side on the small things even the less good ones. This will help you feel grounded.
- Be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.
Conclusion// do anything that makes you live in the present and enjoying the moment. Don’t rush, seize it.
T for Teaser
As in Cambridge Dictionary: Teaser// a problem for which it is hard to find the answer, specially one which people enjoy trying to solve as a game.
Synonym// Brainteaser. They have a point.

U for Uterus
Uterus// the womb, the nest of all lives.

V for Vulva

W for Wet kiss
X for Xanax

Y for Yoni
Yoni// the Mother of all Life. From Sanskrit, word that has been interpreted to literally mean the womb, and the female organs, “vagina", "vulva", and "uterus", or alternatively to "origin, abode, or source" of anything in other contexts.
Yoni Empire// @the_yoni_empire is a blog, a movement, a place that educates about self-pleasure and self-love I can’t live without now.
Yoni care// @yoni.care is a brand (first?) that produces tampons, pads and panty liners made from 100% organic cotton. Do you know what your tampons, pads and panty liners are made of? Given your vagina is one of the most absorbent parts of your body, it’s a good question to ask.

Z for Zig-Zig
WWII coinage for sexual intercourse.
