The FIRM Awards

The team running 2016’s FIRM Awards, an in-house recruitment awards ceremony, wanted an opening film that would be able to grab the audience’s attention and kick things off in a dramatic way. Produced as part of a sponsorship package the budget was minimal. They needed something big that could be produced on a small scale.

After one of the team suggested we do something with model railway figures, I shaped the concept into a series of scenes that take place across a recruiter’s desk. I storyboarded the action after scouring the internet for suitable figures and collaborating with Clarke from Smallworld Photography.

The project was turned around in just under a month. I also threw together a print advert for Casual Films to be included in the ceremony’s booklet.
