The Flowers

The Flowers is a feature film of which I was the Assistant Director. The Flowers Film centres around a character called Poopy. She is a twenty-vear-old girl trom a very wealthy family. When she was ten years old her twin sister (non-identical) was abducted from a fayre. Her father (a multi-country CEO) and mother (artist) split not long after. Poppy lives with her father and has not seen her mother for ten years. The Flowers then follows Poppy's life as she attempts to end it at the start of the film. Through four appointments with a retired psychiatrist we journey with Poppy and her friends and family as she tries to heal and make sense of her life. The journey involves her mother and is a painful one. Not many characters have Poppy's best interests at heart. It leads to an extremely dark and thrilling climax to the film.
