Imagine you are with your friends. Take a piece of paper. Write a word, either a noun or an adjective; make it something provocative, droll or banal. Fold the paper so that it covers your contribution and pass it on to the next person to repeat the process. Once everyone has deposited their word, you can take the concertina and pull it open. The result, occasionally poetic, often amusing, always relies for its pleasure on the ability to unify the incongruous.
