Back in February, I got to travel to Las Vegas with work - This is not a regular occurrence for me, so to say I was excited is a bit of an understatement.
I was unsure whether I would warm to Vegas... I had my doubts. Its somewhere I have always wanted to go, but somewhere not very high up on my list, so getting to go with work made it even more special.
It really was how I imagined, well main part of Vegas anyway, the strip, the casinos and posh bars etc etc, but what took me by surprise was the beauty of the outskirts of Vegas. Very derelict, scattered with cheap motels. I found these areas more inspiring than the bright lights and drunken chaos that Vegas certainly does provide.
All in all, Vegas surprised me which was unexpected and very welcome. It was nice to find some peace within the chaos.
