BA graduate collection - The genesis of this project goes back to Umberto Boccioni’s exhibition of 3D reconstructed sculptures in the Estorick Collection. This project is my personal interpretation of futurism, which I executed through abstract forms achieved from combining drape with sharp geometrical shapes. The innovative way of the use of recycled memory foam allowed me to create futuristic sculpture-like garments which went beyond gender boundaries. With this collection, I want to say that it’s time to stop defining gender with every produced piece of clothing and prove that gender neutrality might be effortless. I feel that artistic expression can be simply undefined because it gives more space for creativity and freedom.
