Ecuador is host to one of the most biodiverse area in the world! But the increasing exploitation of its land for oil extraction could see its forests collapse in the next 20 years. Despite this "unstoppable" environmental disaster, a handful of indigenous people (The Waoranis) decided to fight back. In 2019 and for the first time in history, they won against the ecuadorian government, stopping oil drilling and saving half a million acres of Amazon rainforest. This is their story. . . . . .
