Insight Coffee houses have become places for us to think, write, discuss and read. So why not make an experience for a brand that lends itself to all those things?
Idea Guardian Coffee. A concept cafe in the heart of Shoreditch where audiences can enjoy content delivered by live news feeds and debate driven by digital engagement tools, alongside a soy flat white.
Results #GuardianCoffee trended on Twitter within hours of opening and was soon subject to a stereotypically sarcastic article from Vice. The café initially intended to run for 6 months, remained open for 2 years. During this time, the space played home to workshops, talks, and experiments in ‘new’ journalism, all while collecting valuable data about key audiences
