The Happy Place

  • Hafsah Iqbal

Currently fashion has a mental health problem and taking this into consideration, “The Happy Place” has been created. It is to empower and remind individuals that anything can be achieved with a positive mental attitude. The collection hopes to promote and encourage a positive, feel good workplace to maintain individuals wellbeing. Fashion is an amazing, thriving community so let’s celebrate all the individuals that contribute into making it amazing. All the way from the hard working, determined intern to the team of creatives. To convey this message the collection is making a return to handcraft, in particular hand-knitting. By doing do so it highlights the positive impact the mindful practise has on well-being, and the contribution it has towards the slow fashion movement. The garments designed are investment pieces, that are made to last and promote the message of look good, feel good, do good.
