Diana, Princess of Wales is widely remembered for these values and it is evident that she continues to be a figure of inspiration for a new generation of young people, all of them born after 1997.
In this 20th anniversary year, The Diana Award recognised 20 outstanding young people, from across the world, who were presented with the Inaugural Legacy Award by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry at St James’s Palace in London on 18 May.
These exceptional young people embody Princess Diana’s qualities of kindness, compassion and service. They are leaders, visionaries and role models, able to inspire and mobilise a new generation to change the world for the better, just as Princess Diana believed they could.
