The Last of The Crooners

A portrait of The Palm Tree pub in Bow, East London which has been hosting these jazz players for the past 42 years, week in and week out. Having spent 17 years in regular attendance, I finally plucked up the courage to ask if I could shoot some portraits and these are they. I'm glad I did ask, the project won the Sony World Photography Awards in the Professional Portrait category. We recorded a vinyl LP live from the pub too which you might be able to hear if you're very lucky
