The Last Tree | Black History Month 'Identity' Short Film

  • Corrina Antrobus

To celebrate the release of Shola Amoo's visionary film The Last Tree, I worked with DDAPR to produce a short film spotlighting the themes of identity and dual nationality for black Britons. Screening in cinemas throughout October, the film was a perfect homage to Black History Month. Beautifully shot by photographer and videographer Tristan Bejawn, the film uses the original soundtrack score by Segun Akinola. Starring: Daniel Mosaku - Influencer Reece Parkinson - BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Yomi Adegoke - Journalist and author (Slay In Your Lane - The Black Girl Bible) Emeka Frederick - Founder of Chukka’s the first Nigerian Tapas restaurant Lola Jagun - Actor, writer and content creator
