I am a character and costume designer. I have reworked the story of ‘The Little Mermaid’ by Hans Christian Andersen, addressing the social issue of sexuality and working against the negative stereotypes of how sexuality is generally portrayed in TV and media. This lead me to develop a 15 episode TV series for the network station HBO, called ‘The Little Merman’. For this series I have created a number of characters and costume designs influence by the journey of this characters story.
