The Message Trust have run their most successful Christmas campaign this year, raising funds to support their new Community Groceries, and feeding some of the most vulnerable people across the UK have food on the table. I worked on the concept and design work. It was directed at a Christian audience so I created the strapline and visuals around Jesus' words in Matthew 25:34-40 which would be familiar to the target audience. In these verses, Jesus puts himself in the position of the hungry, the poor and the sick, explaining to his followers that whenever they feed, clothe and care for the most vulnerable people in society, they are doing it for Jesus himself. It is one of many, but perhaps one of the strongest, imperatives in the Bible to consider the poor. The campaign has been rolled out across print and digital media with an online fundraising dinner, paid-for/organic social media ads, direct mail appeal, short films, radio and magazine advertising.
