The Midnight Walk is inspired by every woman who has faced sexism, catcalling and objectification; it represents the fight by all women and a call to arms for equality. Fired by as initial response to sexist advertising from the second half of the twentieth century. My collection represents strength and independence, whilst embracing femininity, intimacy, softness and sexuality. Intimacy and sexuality should be fully in woman's hands and shown as she desires. My collection celebrates natural sexiness of the female body but puts her needs and desired above all else; comfort and confidence through female gaze. Being a woman who has faced the familiar fight, the collection is voiced through my feisty alter ego Felisha, who refuses to be defined by fear of body confidence. Felisha embodies all the struggles and values what women fight for. She owns up to her need for intimacy, which is crucial part of her femininity, something to be protected, not abused and objectified.
