The Munken Agenda 2022
Paying hommage to the tradition of the Polish School of Illustration, we created a functional agenda featuring drawings by young artists of the Department of Graphic Design Warsaw AFA.
Concept, design and DTP of the agenda. Worked in a two-person team, supervising work of illustrators.
The main goals of the projec tof the Agenda were to create a clean template and uncomplicated typography that would not overshadow, but rather highlight the most important element of the calendar. Paying hommage to the tradition of the Polish School of Illustration, we created a functional agenda featuring drawings by young artists of the Department of Graphic Design Warsaw AFA.
Each agenda is wrapped in an envelope with a custom-designed pattern. Inside each copy are bookmarks with elements from each author’s illustrations, which can also be found on the covers of the calendar.
The project is an effect of collaboration between the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Arctic Paper company.
The layout allows user to personalise their callendar according to their need whether they prefer to stay in the structure of the days of the week or use extra blank space to manage their time as they wish. Each drawing portrays one of the selected international proverbs and quotations.
The Munken Agenda also serves as a catalogue of the Munken papers. Spreads are made from eight different types of paper, with corresponding information. Facing the paper details, in the bottom left corner, the illustrated spread features the name of the illustrator and the illustrated proverb. The number of the week serves as pagination and is also a marker that we have used in the list of illustrators, for easier identification of their works.
