This work is a collection of photographs which aimed to capture intimacy, sensuality, femininity, and a range of human emotions. This book is divided into two chapters: (1) "Duality", representing inner-battles. (2) "Fusion", representing our need to connect with others. The concept of ‘duality’ and ‘fusion’ are represented through the use of symmetry, as well as overlayed imagery effect. As researcher and author Brené Brown believes, “vulnerability is power”. I have therefore aimed to encourage transparency by sharing my own heartbreaking experiences through others’ faces. It aims to empower women against the deep-rooted male chauvinism embedded in our culture. Moreover, I’ve also represented the feeling of “entrapment” in order to represent the difficulty (yet vital need) of freeing yourself from abusive and toxic relationships. Soundtrack : Brené Brown in "The power of Vulnerability" (2010), Ted Talk.
