The Case For Her & Refinery 29 came together to create a brief meant to ban the taboo around menopause and present the bigger picture. The Pause is a collaborative project between The Case For Her & Refinery 29 dedicated to all kinds of women as a safe space to talk, own and love menopause. It is a witty, fun and entertaining platform where people can educate themselves, ask questions and connect with people. The project includes a new video series The Pause in which women interview each other about their pausexperience, The Pause Central: a physical space for female stand-ups, a new article series Life Begins at The Pause: written by women over 40, and a weekly podcast Take a Second to Pause. Throughout all platforms we invite (extra)ordinary people to join the unspoken conversations around menopause. The graphic style for the project was set around a sans serif typography and a series of animated loops which integrated three main languages: German, French and English (since they are the ones used in Refinery 29 platforms). By changing the article before Pause it became an inclusive campaign in which everyone could be identified. These articles include: (My, Her, Our, Their, The) Pause in all three languages. The project also includes photographs of extraordinary women who could add up to the narrative. Posters were taken into the streets, buses, metro stations and digital devices.
