A 33+rebel first - venturing into the moving image. Following on from the imagery, a title sequence was created for itv drama THE BAY. From initial concept, to art direction and retouch, to typography and animation - this project was one of the most exciting to date.
The concept was to create a sequence that celebrated the beauty of the location, but in a slightly unnerving, uncomfortable style. From the focus shifts, to wind buffeting camera movement, the sense of the elements beats down on the predominantly empty scenes. Inspired by cinemagraphs, a flicker of movement within the image brings the piece subtly to life…
